The Ad Platform China team is looking for candidates to enhance its research capability and accelerate its pace of innovation. We currently have projects in the following areas: large-scale data analysis, paid search ads relevance. Candidates with background in these areas are highly desirable.
As a senior research software development engineer you will work closely with software developers, program managers, and researchers from MS Research Asia to drive innovation and implement cutting edge technologies, by applying the advanced data analysis and machine learning algorithms to solve real industry problems. In Ad Platform China, while you can enjoy the freedom of scientific research in the hot online service area, you can also experience the industry impact of your research effort, by owning the algorithm design and implementation in product features or feature areas, building the team's research capability, and driving for an efficient technology transfer pipeline.

Qualifications:

1. Applicants should have at least five years of R & D experience and outstanding research track record, with broad and deep knowledge in information retrieval, machine learning, data mining, or other related areas.
2. Strong analytical problem solving skills and demonstrated capability to generate new ideas and innovate. Self-motivate and great team player.
3. Proficiency in C++/C# is preferred. Proficiency in database, script languages, or other Microsoft technologies is plus.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required.
5. A PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields is preferred.
